Saturday, May 2nd was an eventful day for Wayland Hearing Centers. The business participated in two local events with the goal of educating the community about the importance of hearing health.

The day kicked off with Owner, Kelly Wayland, participating in the Elder Care Resource Fair at Manassas City Community Center. This event was put on by the Manassas City Police Department and provided educational presentations for seniors while also hosting several vendors who service the senior population. As a vendor, Wayland Hearing Centers was able to educate attendees about healthy hearing and the risks of untreated hearing loss. We are grateful to the MCPD for allowing us to participate in this community event and we look forward to participating in similar events in the future.

After the Elder Care Resource Fair, Kelly headed to the Prince William County Fairgrounds where Hearing Instrument Specialist, Avery Black, had gotten the Wayland Hearing Centers booth set up and running for the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival. This highly-attended event gave us the opportunity to interact and inform many of the attendees of our new office, where we are located and what services we can provide to them and their loved ones. We held a raffle which received dozens of entries (Congrats to our winner on your new Airpods 4!) and gave away lots of free cookies baked by Hannah Black of Black Oven Bakery (find her at the Manassas Park Farmer’s Market on Saturdays!). Overall, it was a fun event and the weather was perfect!

Wayland Hearing Centers is scheduled to attend more events in the coming months. Check our website and our Facebook page to stay up to date on where you can find us set up. We would love to see you!”
